Earning the GAFPB: an Airman's evolution

U.S. Air Force Airmen, U.S. Army Soldiers and U.S. Navy Sailors start the 1,000 meter run, two and a half laps on the track, during the German Armed Forces Badge for military Proficiency event at Joint Base Langley-Eustis, Va., Nov. 1, 2016. The GAFPB 1,000 meter run is just one of five events and must be completed within six minutes and 30 seconds to qualify.
