Declassified video footage from the head-up-display of a U.S. Air Force Arizona Air National Guard F-16 records the moment when the aircraftâs Automatic Ground Collision Avoidance System took control and saved the F-16 and its unconscious pilot from a ground crash in May 2016. The system engaged after the student pilot suffered G-induced loss of consciousness (G-LOC) and the aircraft started an uncontrolled steep descent from 17,000 feet while in full afterburner.
