Memorial

A 55th Fighter Group memorial is located in the village of Nuthampstead, England, which was the host village to the fighter group during World War II. The 55th fighter pilots took off in their P-38 Lightnings and P-51 Mustangs on bomber escort missions over the European peninsula. (U.S. Air Force photo by Josh Plueger)
