Job well done!
Col. Sarah Christ, 78th Air Base Wing vice commander, addresses a crowd of people during a ceremony marking the early completion of work on an RQ-4 Global Hawk. Robins Air Force Base is the first and only installation to have a building-based Launch and Recovery Element, allowing the aircraft to take off and land from this location. This is also the first time a Global Hawk has flown into an Air Force air logistics complex. Warner Robins Air Logistics Complex maintenance professionals meticulously painted the aircraft to prevent corrosion. While a programmed depot maintenance requirement for Global Hawk has not been established, the Air Force recognizes that having an organic maintenance capability for Global Hawk enhances our ability to manage the fleet and keep this resource flying.
