CAP Support Operation Warp Speed

Lt. Col. Robert Bowden, Michigan Wing Civil Air Patrol, and Maj. Rod Rakic, Illinois Wing Civil Air Patrol, review flight plans prior to vaccine distribution. The mission was part of an interagency agreement between the Civil Air Patrol and U.S. Department of Health and Human Services – Indian Health Service. Authorized under the Economy Act, the agreement allowed CAP to act as a Civilian Auxiliary of the Air Force, and fly the vaccine inside a 12-hour period to prevent spoilage.
