Boom operator returns to the controls 50 years after retirement

Retired Master Sgt. Eugene T. Beal sits in the cockpit of a KC-135 Stratotanker, April 3, 2023, at Beale Air Force Base, California. Eugene spent most of his career as a boom operator in the KC-97 Stratofreighter and the KC-135.
