C-21 mission departs AUAB

A C-21A Learjet piloted by U.S. Air Force Maj. Jonathan Daniels, 912th Expeditionary Air Refueling Squadron C-21 Detachment director of operations, and 1st Lt. Naomi Shaak, 912th EARS C-21 Detachment pilot, begins taxing towards the runway before its last flight out of Al Udeid Air Base, Qatar, June 30, 2023. The C-21 at AUAB was authorized to operate in combat zones, earning the famous combat Learjet rhetoric “unaware, unafraid” due to the fact that it has no anti-aircraft detection or countermeasure systems installed, making the crew unaware of any possible threats and unafraid to face them.
