In 2018, Nicole was diagnosed Adenoid Cystic Carcinoma, a rare and incurable form of cancer, that led her to participate in the Invictus Games to showing resilience and the unwavering human spirit. Nicole represented Team U.S. during the games which took place from Sept. 9-16, providing individuals to reclaim their sense of purpose, identity, and future, transcending the boundaries of their injuries.
