First Airman graduates Marine Corps Designated Marksman Course

U.S. Air Force Tech. Sgt. Erik Johannes, 1st Fighter Wing weapons safety representative, leaves his rank and name on the back of the Designated Marksmanship Course sign after the graduation of United States Marine Corps Designated Marksman Course class 2-24, Naval Weapons Station Yorktown, Virginia, Feb. 14, 2024. Graduates of the DM Course punch a symbol of their rank into the decorative sign and mark their name beneath it in a tradition held by the DM community. Johannes is the first Airman to graduate from the course and leave their rank behind alongside fellow graduates. (U.S. Air Force photo by Staff Sgt. Michael Bowman)
