  • Hill F-35A units assist in F-16 fighter training

    Brand new F-16 pilots received a unique training experience here with the help of the active duty 388th and Reserve 419th Fighter Wings and the F-35A Lightning II. For the last two weeks, F-16 basic course students and instructor pilots from the 311th Fighter Squadron at Holloman Air Force Base, New Mexico, have been flying with and against the Air Force’s first operational F-35A units.

  • Little Rock Airmen test next generation gas mask

    Airmen from Little Rock Air Force Base, Arkansas, tested the capabilities of the M69 Joint Service Aircrew Mask Strategic Aircraft for implementation and field use for individual respiratory, ocular and percutaneous protection against chemical biological agents on the C-130J airframe April 25 – 30. The M69 is intended to replace the Aircrew Eye and Respiratory Protection system. A joint team led by Air Combat Command’s 52nd Wing and 28th Test and Evaluation Squadron located at Eglin Air Force Base, Florida, provided guidance and supervision to Airmen as they tested the new Aircrew Chemical Biological Radiological Nuclear system on C-130J aircraft.

  • Air Force sports seeks male, female softball players

    The Air Force is looking for men and women for 2019 Air Force Softball Trial Camps. The men’s camp is at Eglin AFB, Florida, and the women’s is at Hurlburt Field, Florida. Both camps are July 25 – Aug. 11. Armed Forces Softball Championships are Aug. 12-18 at Pensacola Naval Air Station, Florida. Applications are due no later than June 3 for coaching staffs and June 10 for athletes.
