    Aircrew, maintainers and support personnel with the 432nd Wing/432nd Air Expeditionary Wing displayed the MQ-9 Reaper at Langley Air Force Base, Virginia for the Air Power Over Hampton Roads airshow, May 18-20, 2018. 432nd WG Airmen made the journey to Langley AFB, Air Combat Command headquarters, to help members of ACC, as well as the local community, understand how the Remotely Piloted Aircraft enterprise works alongside other U.S. Air Force assets.
  • JBLE hosts community during air show

    Joint Base Langley-Eustis hosted AirPower Over Hampton Roads JBLE Air and Space Expo at Langley Air Force Base, May 18-20, 2018. The event featured a number of aerial acts including the U.S. Air Force Thunderbirds, F-22 Raptor Demonstration Team and the U.S. Army Golden Knights. In addition the aerial acts, there was a variety of static displays, including the U.S. Air Force C-17 Globemaster III, F-16 Fighting Falcon and T-38 Talon.

  • Hill maintainers support F-35A first Asia appearance during Seoul ADEX 17

    Twenty-seven Hill maintainers and accompanying support equipment loaded into a C-17 Globemaster III Oct. 13, bound for Northeast Asia’s largest air show to support the F-35A’s first time on Asian soil. Seoul International Aerospace and Defense Exhibition, also known as Seoul ADEX 17, offers a venue to deepen U.S. relationships with the Republic of Korea and enhance regional security while also giving 388th and 419th Fighter Wing maintainers a sense of interoperability and cultural awareness by working in another country. “With this temporary duty, we gain an increased understanding of how other platforms and countries conduct maintenance and daily operations,” said Lt. Col. Jennifer Phillips, 388th Aircraft Maintenance Squadron commander. “Boots on ground in a location other than home gives us breadth and increased understanding we’re able to pass onto peers, subordinates and leaders alike for application in future movements.”
  • Inspired by air show, boy becomes USAF pilot

    Inspiration can be fleeting or it can be enduring. As seven-year-old boy, Richard felt this powerful drive during a family outing to an air show, he had no idea it would shape his future career helping him become a U.S. Air Force pilot. "Lethbridge was the first air show I went to when I was a kid,” said Maj. Richard, 432nd Wing MQ-1 Predator pilot. "We looked at all the airplanes and there wasn’t a single airplane that made more of an impression on me than the C-5 [Galaxy] did. I was just enthralled and I didn't quite know why, but even at that age I knew I wanted to be a part of it and fly it. It became my greatest dream."
  • Famed World War II P-51B Mustang 'Berlin Express' to make transatlantic flight to perform in England with F-22

    The “Berlin Express” P-51B Mustang achieved legendary status in an epic World War II dogfight in Paris in 1944, piloted by American Bill Overstreet, who flew the aircraft under the Eiffel Tower in hot pursuit of a German fighter. Overstreet eventually downed the German plane and eluded heavy enemy fire while escaping the battle with aircraft
