  • Merry Creech-mas: 432nd Wing receives first Christmas tree

    Creech Air Force Base Hunters and Diamondbacks were surprised to see a live Christmas tree standing nearly 20 feet tall and positioned in front of the 432nd Wing building Nov. 30, 2017. Many members took immediate notice of the base’s new tree, loaded with colorful lights and vibrant decorations which contrasted with the surrounding brown, beige and grays of Nevada mountains, desert sands and highway tumbleweeds.
  • Mission continues through Christmas

    Bagram Airfield, Afghanistan continues to operate missions during Christmas day. F-16 Fighting Falcon pilot's with the 79th Expeditionary Fighter Squadron, supported combat missions that totaled 679 missions were handled by airfield operations that day. Capt. Ashton, an F-16 Fighting Falcon pilot with the 79th Expeditionary Fighter Squadron, flew a mission and came back in time to watch his daughter open Christmas presents back home. “We do what we do so people back home can do what they do,” Ashton said. “Today was no different.”
