    Air Force officials have selected 8,246 staff sergeants for promotion to technical sergeant out of 28,358 eligible for a selection rate of 29.08 percent in the 20E6 promotion cycle.

  • Air Force announces NCO Career Status Program for Airmen with 12 years of service

    The change will eliminate the need for Airmen who have 12 or more years of service to continue to reenlist by aligning their separation dates with their high year of tenure dates.
  • Local ’16 valedictorian recruited by AFTAC as nuclear data analyst

    Through the Palace Acquire Program, the Air Force Technical Applications Center here recruited a recent University of South Florida undergraduate to work as a nuclear data analyst in the center’s Ciambrone Radiochemistry Laboratory. Victoria Scira joined the AFTAC team in June 2019 after graduating magna cum laude from USF in May with a bachelor’s degree in chemical engineering.
  • AFPC hosts Squadron Commander Course

    After a six-year hiatus, the course was reinstituted in January and redesigned to provide new and sitting squadron commanders a first-hand opportunity to learn about key issues and processes about AFPC’s key programs and processes for talent management and care for Airmen and families.
