Women of the 90th Aircraft Maintenance Unit at Joint Base Elmendorf-Richardson are leading the way in innovation and inclusion with their new lactation pod, allowing Airmen who are nursing mothers to continue contributing to the mission at work and at home. Staff Sgt. Victoria Hall, now a dedicated crew chief assigned to the 757th Aircraft Maintenance Squadron at Nellis Air Force Base, Nevada, had a part in the planning and acquisition of a lactation pod for the 90th AMU.

    Language Enabled Airman Program Scholar Capt. Maira Garza is currently providing Spanish language support to the 12th Air Force in Guatemala for a site survey supporting Resolute Sentinel Exercise Related Construction and Humanitarian Assistance Program projects. During this Training Partnership Request, Capt. Garza worked with Guatemalan Emergency Response Agencies, the U.S. Agency for International Development, and various Department of Defense representatives.

  • Air Force to bring new rescue and attack missions to Davis-Monthan AFB, retire oldest A-10s

    The Department of the Air Force announced plans today to move close air support and rescue missions, including A-10 Thunderbolt II and HH-60 Pave Hawk weapons schools and test squadrons, to Davis-Monthan Air Force Base beginning in fiscal year 2022. The proposed plan would transfer rescue and attack missions, aircraft and personnel to Davis-Monthan AFB as part of the Air Force’s vision of making the base the Center of Excellence for close air support and rescue missions.
