  • DOD releases overseas stop movement order in response to COVID-19

    Building upon previously enacted movement restrictions governing foreign travel, permanent change of station moves, temporary duty and personal leave, this stop movement order will also impact exercises, deployments, redeployments and other global force management activities. Approximately 90,000 Service Members slated to deploy or redeploy over the next 60 days will likely be impacted by this stop movement order.
  • K-9 Veterans Day celebrated at Tyndall AFB

    Tyndall Air Force Base has worked tirelessly for the past 15 months to rebuild the base since the damage and destruction caused by a Category 5 hurricane in 2018. One of the biggest challenges Airmen and civilian employees face is getting back to a new normal. The 325th Security Forces Squadron’s military working dog unit is no different. March 13 is K-9 Veterans Day and to commemorate the unofficial holiday, the 325th SFS MWD section put a few of their dogs to the test to demonstrate the capabilities of both dog and handler.

    The colorful fabric drapes over her skin. Bountiful lace and ribbon ordains the dress, a timeless style reminiscent of her roots. It sways effortlessly with a simple movement of her wrist. To enhance the traditional design, she applies bold makeup to couple the dress’ vibrancy. As she retrieves a tube of vivid red lipstick from a small makeup bag, she comes face-to-face with the mirror. Her reflection creates a feeling of connectedness to her Mexican heritage.

Mike Holmes, Commander of Air Combat Command, to certify his capabilities as a demo team pilot at Joint Base Langley-Eustis, Va., Dec. 18, 2017.
  • Motivating Sheepdogs: Army colonel shares knowledge

    Retired U.S. Army Lt. Col. Dave Grossman recently visited team Creech to discuss living a life of sacrifice and coping with the effects of combat, Nov. 13 to 14, 2017. Grossman, a former U.S. Military Academy West Point Psychology professor and the director of the Warrior Science Group, has researched the psychological cost of military service and the war on terrorism and now uses that knowledge to educate service members, law enforcement professionals and university students across the U.S.
