  • COMACC tours AFCYBER during visit

    U.S. Air Force Gen. Mike Holmes, commander of Air Combat Command, visit to Joint Base San Antonio-Lackland, Texas, March 4, 2019. During his visit Holmes toured several Air Forces Cyber units to meet Airmen and gain knowledge about the cyber mission including the 67th Cyberspace Wing and the 346th Test Squadron Unified Capabilities Assessment building. The UCAP team provides Department of Defense Information Network Approved Products List testing before the equipment can be connected to the DODIN.

  • ACC Commander pays rare visit to 173rd Fighter Wing

    The commander of Air Combat Command, made his first visit to the 173rd Fighter Wing, Feb. 4-6, 2019, to see operations at the sole provider of F-15C air superiority pilots in the U.S. Air Force. General Mike Holmes is responsible for all the combat units in the Air Force and as such is very significant stakeholder in the wing’s mission, which makes it natural for him to come and see operations here despite the fact that this training mission falls under the auspices of Air Education and Training Command.
  • Top ACC leaders visit Al Udeid

    Air Combat Command’s top leaders traveled to Al Udeid Feb. 11, 2019, to visit deployed Airmen and discuss ACC support to the U.S. Air Forces Central Command mission delivering decisive air and space power on behalf of U.S. Central Command for the security and stability of the region. Gen. Mike Holmes, commander of ACC, and Chief Master Sgt. Frank Batten, ACC command chief, began the visit by meeting with Lt. Gen. Joseph Guastella, AFCENT commander, and Brig. Gen Jason Armagost, 379th Air Expeditionary Wing commander, to learn more about the local mission and challenges deployed Airmen face in the region.
