  • Angel Thunder: Augmenting CSAR Readiness via Evolution

    Exercise ANGEL THUNDER, a personnel recovery exercise focusing on Combat Search and Rescue, began operations out of Davis-Monthan Air Force Base, Ariz., Nov. 4. The 2-week-long exercise will join personnel from the U.S. Army, Navy, Air Force and Marines as well as personnel from Canada, France, Italy, and Poland to conduct training to prepare to support survivors, referred to as isolated personnel, in a deployed environment.

  • Tyndall supports U.S. Naval Sea Cadets

    U.S. Naval Sea Cadet Corps cadets from across the country gathered in North West Florida to participate in a highly selective, military-like summer training program that took place in Panama City, Florida, and at Tyndall Air Force Base from June 24 to July 7, 2017. This youth program utilized Tyndall’s base resources periodically over the course of two weeks while testing and training its cadets in naval special warfare courses.
  • Red Flag 17-3 kicking up summer heat with AF, Marine F-35s

    The U.S. Air Force began Red Flag 17-3, its three-week air-to-air combat training exercise, today and will conclude July 28. Each Red Flag exercise is unique and Red Flag 17-3 is no different. For the first time, there will be two F-35 Lightning II squadrons participating. The Marine Corps’ F-35Bs will participate alongside the Air Force’s F-35As for the first time in Red Flag history.
