For this group of 20th Civil Engineer Squadron explosive ordnance disposal Airmen, working hard can mean the difference between life or death. The safety of the team as well as those around them can be threatened as they clear paths for fellow service members during deployments, clean up training grounds or assist state law enforcement agencies with emergencies.

    As Semaj’s alarm screeches throughout her bedroom at 2:30 a.m. she awakes for her morning cardio session, checks on her six-year-old son Jamel and then laces up her running shoes. Staff Sgt. Semaj, 432nd Aircraft Maintenance Squadron supply craftsman, does this every morning to keep her body in shape in preparation for her next bodybuilding event where she hopes to earn her professional status.

    National Nutrition Month is an educational campaign organized every March by the Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics, which is designed to emphasize the importance of developing and maintaining healthy eating choices and physical activity habits. This year’s theme for the campaign is "Put Your Best Fork Forward," which acts as a reminder that each bite counts and how simple changes in food choices can have positive effect over time. The theme is geared toward encouraging individuals to start with small changes in eating habits, such as preparing meals at home or making healthy selections while out.
