  • Air advisors host first virtual training with Panama partners amid COVID-19

    Air advisors with the 571st Mobility Support Advisory Squadron are providing training for the first time using a virtual medium to members of the National Aeronaval Service of Panama, also known as SENAN, Aug. 31 through Sept. 11. Air advisors established the new training and certification process with inputs from Headquarters Air Force, Air Mobility Command, Inter-American Air Forces Academy, 818th MSAS, and various members of the State Partnership Program in the Air Force Southern Command AOR.
  • Overcoming distance: 552nd units tackle Exercise AGILE THUNDER 1,300 miles apart

    EXERCISE Agile Thunder 20-03 at Tinker Air Force Base, Oklahoma, concluded Aug. 14 after more than two weeks of focused training for over 500 active duty Airmen in the 552nd Air Control Wing and multiple personnel in both the 72nd Air Base Wing and the 366th Fighter Wing at Mt. Home AFB, Idaho. The 552nd Air Control Wing is a unique wing that trains, employs, and provides combat ready air and ground crews specializing in tactical command and control.

    The brain only functions as well as the system designed to carry its messages. On any given installation, there is a team of vigilant Airmen trained to be experts in dispersing vital communication to every single member of their mission.
  • 805th Combat Training Squadron; Nellis AFB’s newest squadron

    The operations center sits in a large room, filled with rows of computers, displaying a simulated combat scenario. Above different areas in the room are signs designating who sits where. Cyber, Space and Judge Advocate are just a few of the stations in the dark room. Illuminating the area in the front are projector screens displaying real aircraft positioning, weather maps and other intel sources. Announcements over the intercom can be heard of major developments such as a fallen aircraft or incoming opposition.
  • Nuclear Deterrence Operations names CGO of the Year

    Winners of the 2016 Nuclear Deterrence Operations, and Nuclear and Missile Operations Awards were announced in July 2017. Among the selected few was a 70th Intelligence, Surveillance and Reconnaissance Wing cyber warrior.
