  • 726th Air Control Squadron returns from deployment

    Over 100 Airman from the 726th Air Control Squadron, Mountain Home Air Force Base, returned from a 6-month deployment October 27, 2018. The 727th EACS is the Department of Defense's largest Control and Reporting Center, responsible for 24/7 tactical Command and Control of over one million square miles of Central Command airspace.
  • AFIMSC helps Tyndall get back in the fight

    As Tyndall Air Force Base, Florida, recovers from the full-force punch leveled by Hurricane Michael Oct. 10, members and teams from across the Air Force Installation and Mission Support Center are helping the base get back in the fight. AFIMSC Vice Commander Col. Pat Miller leads Task Force Phenix to assess the long-term usability of facilities at the installation. Col. Seth Frank, chief of the AFIMSC Force Protection Division, commands Task Force HARP (Housing, Assignment, Relocation and Posture), which is helping Tyndall Airmen and families with housing, family living issues and relocation. Other members of AFIMSC are serving on the task forces to deliver installation and mission support requirements, and others are providing reach-back help from the center’s headquarters in San Antonio and other AFIMSC locations across the globe.
  • AFCENT Airmen Support Afghan Airdrop Training and MERV Clearance Ops

    U.S. Air Forces Central Command published its September Airpower Summary today highlighting airpower operations in the U.S. Central Command area of responsibility. In Afghanistan, AFCENT Airmen operated as part of Operation Freedom’s Sentinel and the NATO Resolute Support Mission to train, advise and assist the Afghan Air Force, most recently in ‘Speedball’ training – a rapid relief supply airdrop capability. Simultaneously, in Iraq and Syria, Coalition Airmen enabled ISIS clearance operations within the Middle Euphrates River Valley as a part of Operation Inherent Resolve and provided security forces assistance to the Iraqi Aviation and Air Defense Enterprise through the efforts of the Coalition Aviation Advisory and Training Team.
  • 325th LRS: Helping shape a new Tyndall

    The 325th Logistics Readiness Squadron is a multi-faceted unit working diligently as part of Hurricane Michael recovery efforts, two of their five sections are vehicle operations and vehicle maintenance. They are key players in rebuilding infrastructure on Tyndall and getting the base back on its feet through transportation services. In addition to supplying broad vehicle support, vehicle operations has been actively coordinating with other installations to expedite forward progress as well as moving key equipment around Tyndall themselves.

    One thousand service members from around the United States are set to call Tyndall Air Force Base’s “Tent City” their temporary home. In just over two weeks since Hurricane Michael made landfall along the base’s coastline, a blend of civil engineering Airmen have worked around the clock to successfully bring basic necessities to the installation.

  • JBLE supports Tyndall AFB recovery efforts

    The 733rd Logistics Readiness Squadron small air terminal supported Tyndall Air Force Base, Florida recovery efforts out of Joint Base Langley-Eustis, Virginia, Oct. 17, 2018. The 733rd LRS Airmen are loading an HC130J Combat King II from the 71st Rescue Squadron from Moody Air Force Base, Georgia, as part of an ongoing effort in support of recovery operations.
  • Moody Airmen provide Hurricane Michael medical support

    In the aftermath of Hurricane Michael that devastated Tyndall Air Force Base, Florida and surrounding areas on October 10, medical Airmen from the 96th Medical Group at Moody Air Force Base, Georgia, responded by and standing up an operational medical facility and providing the necessary support.
  • ‘Shooters’ deploy in support of Operation Inherent Resolve
