  • DM Airman awarded Red Cross Certificate of Merit for saving a life

    U.S. Air Force Staff Sgt. Christopher Rickenbach, a firefighter assigned to the 355th Civil Engineer Squadron at Davis-Monthan Air Force Base, was awarded the Red Cross Certificate of Merit for administering life-saving actions, in Oro Valley, Arizona, Feb. 4, 2025.

    The 355th Wing is continually enhancing the partnership between Davis-Monthan and the local community, but especially when it comes to fighting fire. DM benefits greatly through community partnership with veteran civilian firefighters and departments from neighboring communities.

  • CE test warfighting capabilities

    The 355th Civil Engineer Squadron participated in an airfield damage response and assessment exercise at Davis-Monthan Air Force Base March 28-30, 2018. The exercise was held to evaluate their response to a damaged airfield in a simulated deployed environment.

  • D-M, local firefighters train together

    Firefighters from Davis-Monthan Air Force Base and Green Valley Fire District teamed up to participate in live-fire training at D-M AFB, Ariz., this week. A total of about 125 firefighters from both agencies utilized this week’s Class-A training to maintain proficiency in fire protection.
