    EOD Wounded Warrior takes long strides toward recovery

    U.S. Air Force Wounded Warrior Master Sgt. Kenneth Guinn, 325th Civil Engineer Squadron Explosive Ordnance Disposal logistics section chief, will set foot in the opening ceremony of the 2018 Wounded Warrior Games. Alongside him is 39 team members who were selected from over 300 applicants.

    Small chapel team praised as best in Air Force for 2017

    After being honored with the best small chapel award for Air Combat Command two times, it has finally happened. The 70th Intelligence, Surveillance, and Reconnaissance Wing Chapel has been named the Air Force’s Best Small Chapel of the Year for 2017.

    Members of the 4th Security Forces Squadron, Team Seymour and Soldiers from the Fort Bragg Special Reaction Team celebrate Police Week, May 15, 2018, at Seymour Johnson Air Force Base, North Carolina. Participants included Airmen from base along with the Goldsboro Police Department. Events included a 5-K Run, basketball tournament and a Ruck March. In 1962, President John F. Kennedy designated May 15 as Peace Officers Memorial Day and the week in which that date falls as Police Week.

    Police week honors fallen defenders

    Davis-Monthan Air Force Base will participate in National Police Week from May 13 – May 19, 2018. Police Week is held each year to commemorate fallen law enforcement officers and highlight the security forces mission.

  • Embedded care teams work to improve Airman resiliency

    For Airmen at the 363rd Intelligence, Surveillance and Reconnaissance Wing, stress is an occupational hazard. Pressing deadlines, a heavy workload and constant pressure are requirements of the mission. They are also one of a growing number of units combating those stressors with an embedded care initiative, known as an Airman Resiliency Team, which fully integrates medical and spiritual support teams into the unit.
