    U.S. Air Force 386th Air Expeditionary Wing and the Italian National Contingent Command Air/Task Force Air Kuwait leadership came together to commemorate the first operational takeoff of two F-2000 Eurofighter Typhoons from Ali Al Salem Air Base, Kuwait, April 20, 2021. The aircraft are part of Task Group Typhoon, which supports Operation Inherent Resolve under the IT NCC, a unit based at ASAB since April 2021.
  • Tyndall AFB selected to host three F-35 squadrons

    A Record of Decision was issued by the U.S. Air Force, making Tyndall Air Force Base, Florida, the official location to host three new squadrons of the F-35A Lightning II. Air Force officials selected Tyndall based on numerous attributes, including infrastructure capability, quality of life for Airmen, and airspace. The selection process included a thorough environmental impact analysis, in accordance with the National Environmental Policy Act.

  • Large Force Test Event 20.03 sets standard for future test events

    Large Force Test Events 20.03 integrated ten weapons systems, including the F-35, F-22, F-15E, F-16, A-10, E/A-18G, HH-60G, EC-130H, KC-46, and KC-135, from the U.S. Air Force and U.S. Navy on November 17, 2020 to test four Tactics Improvement Proposals, known as TIPs, as well as various high priority tests.
