  • 53rd unit tests container against chemical/biological attacks

    The 52d Wing, 28th Test and Evaluation Squadron recently tested a modified shipping container called a Collective Protection Conex against biological and chemical attacks. Agile Combat Support division engineers and chemists evaluated the heavily modified and instrumented conex’s airlock functionality, clean-air requirements, purge rates, leakage tests and overall ability to withstand a contaminated environment.

    The 356th Fighter Squadron made history as the first F-35A Lightning II unit in the Pacific Air Forces to participate in an air-to-air weapons evaluation here, Oct. 8-23, 2021. This is the second fifth-generation platform to be evaluated on live-fire air-to-air weapons employment in support of National Defense Strategy objectives. Successful completion of Weapon System Evaluation Program East 22.01 marks another milestone for the 356th FS, as they take a crucial step towards becoming the first Initial Operational Capability F-35A squadron in PACAF.

Justin SoileauGobert’s, 337th Test and Evaluation Squadron aircraft crew chief, concerns about his daughter’s continuing lack of energy and bruising on her body set off an alarm that sent his wife, Kaleena, and daughter, Jayda, to the Hendrik Medical Center emergency room in Abilene, Texas. As soon as Kaleena transported her daughter to the hands of caring medical professionals, she knew something was seriously wrong. Kaleena could see it on their faces.
