  • Tyndall Holds Joint Weapons System Evaluation Program

The 83rd Fighter Weapons Squadron hosted Weapon System Evaluation Program East 21.03 at Tyndall Air Force Base, Florida, Dec. 7-18, 2020. WSEPs are held to evaluate air-to-ground and air-to-air weapons systems on behalf of Air Combat Command. • It ain’t musical chairs—It’s hot seats

U.S. Air Force F-22 Raptor pilots from the 43rd Fighter Squadron out of Tyndall Air Force Base swapped the ‘hot seat’ to increase sorties at Eglin AFB, Florida, July 2, 2019. ‘Hot seats’, where a pilot gives control of the jet to another pilot, and ‘hot pits’, Pantograph Fueling Stations, gave the pilots more training time in the air.
  • F-15C simulators provide low-cost, critical training

Projecting unrivaled combat airpower is expensive, which is why one Tyndall unit invested in smarter operations for lower training costs. This unit can launch a jet, fly an unlimited amount of hours and fight thousands of enemies all from a single room. This can be done through four F-15C Eagle training simulators that provide flexible, cost effective operations through the 337th Air Control Squadron.
