We’re surrounded by big changes and challenges every day it seems. Where to go for help? Look into the four charities of the Air Force Assistance Fund. They’re there to help Airmen and our families during times of crisis; when Airmen need financial assistance and training; find spouse employment; provide educational grants to dependents; care for us with many base community programs like Bundles for Babies and Car Care Because We Care; provide a home for widows and widowers of deceased retirees who otherwise would not be able to afford the cost of assisted living and memory care; and more. Visit https://www.afassistancefund.org to learn where to find help, or call our Airman & Family Readiness Center for assistance.

We’ve seen the effects of COVID-19 and the current social climate in our country on Airmen and their families during the first half of 2020. Stop-Movement orders have resulted in financial hardships. Civilian spouses have lost employment, childcare options, and some of our family members and fellow Airmen have even fallen ill and have passed on. Our retirees and their spouses are at the greatest risk during this pandemic given their age and possible complicating conditions.
