    From flip phone to smart phone: AWACS gets an upgrade

  • Tech. Sgt. Jason Gillo, a 552nd Air Control Networks Squadron software development lead, created the design of the Micro Ground System. The new software product, which is housed on a USB, saves the Air Force about $900,000 and removes the need to palletize and psychically safeguard 12,000 pounds of equipment (U.S. Air Force photo by 1st Lt.
