The history of The Combat Edge

The Combat Edge, Air Combat Command's quarterly safety magazine, began as Tactical Air Command's TAC Attack in 1961.  It served to educate, inform, and entertain the command for more than 30 years, until the command's deactivation June 1, 1992.  This date also marked the activation of Air Combat Command, and the first edition of The Combat Edge magazine was published in June 1992.  Check out the archive of The Combat Edge below, and take a look at the first year of TAC Attack below The Combat Edge archive. Check back periodically to view more copies of TAC Attack and see just how much some things have changed, while other things - like the importance of safety - remain throughout the decades.
