True North

True North is an Air Force resilience program that optimizes human performance, enhances Force and family well-being, and destigmatizes help-seeking behaviors by embedding mental health practitioners and religious support teams (chaplain and religious affairs airman) in highest priority units. True North can accomplish these goals through three primary avenues: engage Forces and families early, normalize help-seeking behavior as a strength and provide decentralized care options through the placement of helping resources closer to the Forces they support.

True North provides embedded support to more than more than 22,700 active-duty Airmen in 104 highest priority units at 27 DoD installations (including several globally separated units at Army installations) across ACC. True North mental health providers and religious support teams provide increased access to care to Service Members, DoD Civilians, and their authorized dependents. In-unit services include: education and team building activities, mental health counseling (Active Duty Only), confidential Spiritual Counseling (ID cardholders/authorized dependents), Command consultation, resources and referrals and much, much more!
