Rescue aircrew refresh flight skills, stay current
Eight Team Moody members from the 23d Wing, 347th Rescue Group and 23d Medical Group flew in an HC-130J Combat King II during pilot proficiency training.
The training allowed aircrew members to practice standard and emergency procedures during flight.
Pilots tested the HC-130J’s capabilities to perform a multitude of flying techniques that aid search and rescue efforts, air refueling and airdrop operations.
The HC-130J’s mission is to rapidly deploy and execute combatant commander directed operations.
