U.S. Air Force Gen. Adrian Spain, commander of Air Combat Command, and Chief Master Sgt. Jeremy Unterseher, ACC command chief, visited Airmen across Europe during a multi-stop theater tour focused on readiness, intelligence integration, and warfighting capabilities.

During the visit, Spain and Unterseher met with Airmen assigned to the U.S. Air Force 693rd Intelligence, Surveillance and Reconnaissance Group at Ramstein Air Base, Germany before traveling to the U.S. Air Force 95th Reconnaissance Squadron and 488th Intelligence Squadrons at RAF Mildenhall, United Kingdom. The leaders also visited Airmen from the 31st Fighter Wing, Aviano, Italy operating in Campia Turzii, Romania as part of the broader two-week European tour.

The visit highlighted the critical role intelligence, surveillance and reconnaissance units play in supporting combat airpower, enabling decision advantage and strengthening integrated deterrence across the European theater.

“The battlespace awareness generated by our ISR Airmen is the foundation of our ability to deter aggression and maintain a decisive advantage,” Spain said. “By seamlessly integrating their intelligence collection and analysis with our operational forces, these units guarantee our combat edge and strengthen our collective posture alongside NATO Allies.”

Throughout the engagements, the leaders met directly with Airmen to discuss mission priorities, quality of life initiatives and the evolving demands placed on intelligence and operational forces supporting U.S. Air Forces in Europe and NATO operations.

“Whether they are operating advanced sensors or supporting the flight line, our Airmen are executing the mission with absolute precision in a highly demanding environment,” Unterseher said. “Being on the ground with them gives us the critical, unfiltered feedback we need to sustain their readiness and ensure they are fully supported.”

The tour served as an opportunity for ACC senior leaders to reinforce the importance of forward-postured forces, integrated operations and maintaining combat credibility alongside Allied and partner nations throughout Europe.
