MR. MICHAEL D. DUGRE

Michael D. Dugre is the Command Historian, Air Combat Command, Joint Base Langley-Eustis, Va. He is responsible for establishing policy and overseeing the command's history, museums, and art programs consisting of 27 history offices, 18 air parks, and one field museum.

Mr. Dugre entered the Air Force on 15 October 1976 as a radiology technician before retraining into the enlisted historian career field in November 1985. Before joining civil service in 2006, he served 30 years in the active Air Force.

During his nearly 28-year career as an Air Force Historian, Mr. Dugre has served in numerous wing, air division, and major command positions. He also deployed in support of several operations including Provide Comfort, Deny Flight, and Enduring Freedom.
