Leys Cepeda (right), Task Force Besmayah commander, walk to the training area during an Iraqi Forward Area Controller Course qualification course at Besmayah Range, Iraq, March 6, 2018. The five-day event marked the first time IFACs exercised calling in airstrikes on the range, and their first time calling in live fire from Coalition aircraft. The Combined Joint Task Force-Operation Inherent Resolve, in conjunction with the Coalition Aviation Advisory and Training Team, coordinated the exercise, March 4-8, to certify newly trained IFACs and demonstrate progress made since their training started in December 2017 (U.S. Air Force photo by Staff Sgt.
