Officials announce 2009 ACC JAG Corps award winners

Air Combat Command officials announced the winners of the 2009 ACC major command-level Judge Advocate General Corps awards, April 21.

These awards recognize individuals who, through their hard work and unmatched dedication, have served commanders and clients by providing outstanding legal support. Winners in the first eight categories will compete for the corresponding Air Force-level award.

The 2009 ACC JAG Corps award winners are as follows:

ACC Outstanding Senior Attorney of the Year

ACC Outstanding Judge Advocate

ACC Outstanding Paralegal Senior Noncommissioned Officer
Senior Master Sgt. Carla R. Thornton, 55th Wing, Offutt AFB, Neb.

ACC Outstanding Paralegal Airman (E-6 and below)

Master Sgt. April L. Coleman, 9th Reconnaissance Wing, Beale AFB, Calif.
*Sergeant Coleman was promoted through the Stripes for Exceptional Performers program January 2010.
