ACC's 2009 Air Force Science, Technology and Engineering award winners

The annual Air Force Outstanding Scientist, Outstanding Engineer and Outstanding Science and Engineering Educator Awards and the Air Force Scientist and Engineer Awards recognize significant accomplishments in science, engineering, research and development, and science and engineering education in support of the Air Force mission.

· Lt. Col. Timothy A. Sands, 53rd Electronic Warfare Group, Eglin Air Force Base, Fla., Science and Engineering, Engineering Achievement for pioneering efforts in operational responsiveness of space warfare systems

· Capt. Jeromie L. Shoulders, 49th Test and Evaluation Squadron, Barksdale Air Force Base, La., Outstanding Scientist, Junior Military for innovative improvements to the Nuclear Weapon Systems Evaluation Program

· Capt. Cole W. Gulyas, 83rd Fighter Weapons Squadron, Tyndall Air Force Base Fla., Outstanding Scientist, Mid-Career Military for optimizing the use of high-demand unmanned aerial vehicles, close air support and electronic warfare assets

· Ms. Deana C. Nickerson, 59th Test and Evaluation Squadron, Nellis Air Force Base, Nev., Outstanding Scientist, Junior Civilian for evaluation and testing of F-22 hardware, software and tactics

· Ms. Bridget A. Brooks, 36th Electronic Warfare Squadron, Eglin Air Force Base, Fla., Outstanding Scientist, Senior Civilian for increasing F-22 and B-2 EW systems capability

· 86th Fighter Weapons Squadron Engineering Analysis Team, 86th FWS, Eglin Air Force Base, Fla., Outstanding Scientist, Team for outstanding contributions to the Weapon System Evaluation Program for weapons operating in a GPS-denied environment.
