ACC commander delivers holiday message Published Jan. 18, 2006 By Gen. Ronald E. Keys Air Combat Command commander LANGLEY AIR FORCE BASE, Va. (ACCNS) -- This year’s holiday season marks the 4th year of combat operations for the United States in the Global War on Terrorism … from fighting terrorists abroad while defending our freedom at home, to executing disaster relief for thousands of our citizens, I’m proud of the job you do as ACC Airmen to defend and sustain our great nation. We need to enjoy this special time of year and spend time with our friends and family … but we also need to take time to remember and care for families who have loved ones deployed. The holidays should be a time full of hope and promise. Let’s reflect on the challenges and successes of 2005 and refresh ourselves and be ready to start 2006 with a renewed strength and focus for the job at hand. Valerie and I wish you and yours a holiday season filled with joy and grace and a Happy New Year!
