(ACCNS) -- Since the 1621 harvest feast the Pilgrims celebrated, Americans have observed Thanksgiving by gathering together, sharing with those in need and giving thanks for our numerous blessings. We have much to be thankful for -- our freedoms, our comrades-in-arms, and our families. I’m especially thankful for you -- the remarkable Airmen and civilians in Air Combat Command who are bringing peace, security and natural disaster relief to people around the globe. Your courageous and selfless service honors our Air Force and our nation, and the extraordinary commitment, strength and patriotism of your families illustrates the true strength of America.I encourage you all during this season to take a moment to reflect on the sacrifices that have enabled our freedoms and our way of life. As you enjoy this day, let’s also not miss the opportunity to share it with those who are away from family and friends, especially our deployed Airmen’s families.Thank you for your service, and I wish you all a safe and happy Thanksgiving!
