Staff Sgt. Matt Gross, 342nd Training Squadron, climbs 40-feet up a caving ladder at the Combat Control School tower at Pope Air Force Base, N.C. Students raced up both sides of the tower carrying at least 40 pounds of equipment. These students will use their training in the future when they support Naval units.
