F-15A disassembly

A team of contractors disassemble an F-15A Eagle from the 309th Aerospace Maintenance and Regeneration Group at Davis-Monthan Air Force Base, Ariz., to be used as a static display for the Western Air Defense Sector at Joint Base Lewis-McChord, Wash. As part of their North American Aerospace Defense Command mission, the WADS has tactical oversight of seven air defense alert fighter units, three of which fly the F-15 Eagle. A team of contractors disassemble the F-15A Eagle in five days and loaded it onto two flatbed trucks to be transported to JBLM. (U.S. Air Force photo by Airman Basic Nathan H. Barbour/Released)
