    On March 12, 2020, the 325th Medical Group at Tyndall Air Force Base, partnered with Bay County to participate in a multi-agency emergency response exercise. Participants in the exercise mainly included the 325th Medical Group, Bay County Emergency Medical Services and Ascension Sacred Heart Bay Medical Center.

One of the biggest challenges Airmen and civilian employees face is getting back to a new normal. The 325th Security Forces Squadron’s military working dog unit is no different. March 13 is K-9 Veterans Day and to commemorate the unofficial holiday, the 325th SFS MWD section put a few of their dogs to the test to demonstrate the capabilities of both dog and handler.

  • Deforestation on Tyndall leads to ecosystem restoration

    Beginning Jan. 15, 2020, Tyndall Air Force Base Airmen, the 325th Civil Engineer Squadron natural resources section, and contracted partners will begin planting longleaf pine trees along Highway 98 near Fire Station 4 at Silver Flag Road. This is a partnership between U.S. Air Force service members, Department of Defense contracted employees, and representatives of the U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service.

    The 325th Fighter Wing is approaching the conclusion of Combat Archer 19-8 that was conducted in conjunction with the on-going Checkered Flag 19-1 exercise at Tyndall Air Force Base, Florida, May 6-17, 2019. Combat Archer, also known as the Weapons Systems Evaluation Program, is the Department of Defense’s largest air-to-air live-fire evaluation exercise.

  • Tyndall to host first Industry Day in rebuild effort

    The Air Force will host the first industry day for the Tyndall Air Force Base rebuild at Florida State University, Panama City, Florida, on January 31, 2019, from 8:00 am-12:00 pm. This “state of the installation” presentation will inform the Air Force’s potential partners in industry and elected officials of the condition of Tyndall and the goal to develop an installation for a 21st Century Air Force. Planned speakers for the event will include the Honorable John Henderson, assistant secretary of the Air Force for installations, environment and energy; Terry Edwards, Air Force Civil Engineer Center director; Col. Brian Laidlaw, commander, 325th Fighter Wing; and Amy Vandeveer, AFCEC subject matter expert for installation planning.
  • ACC emphasizes shift in focus to cyber vigilance

    Air Combat Command participated in an Air Force first by testing the reporting capabilities of a mission defense team during a base-wide exercise at Tyndall Air Force Base, Florida, June 11-15, 2018. The 325th Communications Squadron’s MDT is the first operational unit of its kind in Air Combat Command, and the base exercise emphasized the Command’s cyber efforts by showcasing the unit’s communication with Joint Base Langley Eustis’ Cyber Defense Operation Center prototype.
