  • Coalition partners fly joint-combat missions over Southwest Asia

    F-35A Lightning II pilots assigned to the 421st Expeditionary Fighter Squadron recently flew a joint-combat operation with coalition partners over Southwest Asia. The 380th Air Expeditionary Wing conducts combat taskings, directed by the president, in support of contingency operations to protect national interests in the United States Central Command's area of responsibility.

    Photo Essay: A C-17 Globemaster III arrived at Offutt Air Force Base, Nebraska, July 21, 2020, as part of an honorable carry of unidentified remains of service members from the European theater. A total of 28 transfer cases of remains will be accessioned into the Defense POW/MIA Accounting Agency Offutt Laboratory for analysis and identification. This was the first time remains have been transferred to the laboratory for analysis since the COVID-19 pandemic began.

  • ALS Graduates Attend Combat Skills Training

    Approximately 18 Airmen completed their final Airman Leadership School requirement. A 4.25-mile ruck march and an afternoon of combat training stands between the non-commissioned officers and their new responsibilities as supervisors and leaders in their respective duty sections. By adding CST to ALS, frontline leaders and non-commissioned officers culminate the 6-week course with a combat ready mindset. The new training schedule allows Airmen to complete their mission requirement within the DOD’s COVID-19 safety guidelines.

Haugh, Sixteenth Air Force (Air Forces Cyber) commander declared Full Operating Capability for Sixteenth Air Force (Air Forces Cyber) during a virtual ceremony. The declaration of FOC signifies that the Air Force’s Information Warfare organization met a rigorous set of criteria, including an approved concept of operations and demonstrated performance of mission under stress in simulated and real-world conditions.
