Brig. Gen. Joseph Kunkel, the 332nd AEW Commander, opened by introducing Ms. Janine Sijan-Rozina, the sister of Capt. Lance Sijan, a U.S. Air Force Academy graduate and Vietnam Prisoner of War.
  • Defenders forge culture of service, remember fallen Airmen

    Expeditionary security forces squadrons share a culture across the globe—wherever the U.S. Air Force needs to fly aircraft into harm’s way. They are there keeping Airmen and resting aircraft safe. They patrol the fence line; control who steps onto the base. They do this with the knowledge that it’s not a safe profession, but an absolutely critical one. At the 332 Air Expeditionary Wing, those Airmen pay homage to this special culture and in particular those who made the ultimate sacrifice while performing missions in dangerous places.

  • Deployed Airman commemorates Tuskegee Airmen during Black History Month

    Black History Month at the 332nd is a special observance considering the wing traces its roots to WWII and specifically to the Tuskegee Airmen who distinguished themselves in combat. U.S. Air Force Capt. Latetia Bland, who is deployed to the 332nd says she learned of their sacrifices as a young girl, long before she donned the uniform.

    For the first time ever, Qatar Emiri Air Force Rafales integrated with U.S. Air Force KC-135 Stratotankers during a week-long air-to-air refueling exercise at Al Udeid Air Base, Qatar.
  • Team Phoenix program takes flight at PSAB

    The 378th Air Expeditionary Wing is launching a program called Team Phoenix to help members get the most out of the installation’s helping agencies. Twenty-two trained personnel from various units across the wing can now help point people to the right helping agency to suit their needs, whether it be Mental Health, Equal Opportunity, Sexual Assault Prevention and Response, or the Chapel.

  • The Patriots defending ASAB

    Ali Al Salem Air Base, Kuwait, is home to thousands of U.S. Air Force Airmen, U.S. Army Soldiers and coalition forces. Day and night, defenders from the 386th Expeditionary Security Forces Squadron can be seen roaming the base, scanning the perimeter and ensuring that no threat comes close to the base. But another unseen protector also watches over the base, keeping its eye toward the sky, scanning for threats from above.
