ISR Effects initiative connects intel Airmen with outcome of efforts

Intelligence analysts are often the driving force behind mission successes worldwide. Intelligence, Surveillance and Reconnaissance Airmen take data from all domains, analyze it and turn it into decision quality information for countless customers on a daily basis. One of the issues in providing intelligence with a continuous operations tempo is that analysts often do not receive feedback regarding the fruits of their labor. Consequently, a few members of the 8th Intelligence Squadron launched an initiative to scour systems of records and build communication bridges with mission partners to instill the true impact and effectiveness of intelligence analysts’ hard work.

Wingmen Connect initiative aims to create healthier, more resilient Airmen

An idea developed about three and a half years ago, after an Airman realized her coworkers needed guidance she was unable to provide. Although the location of her assignment was great, the Air Force unit was difficult to function within. Wingmen Connect was created to foster an Air Force culture where members can feel comfortable seeking and receiving help from supporting organizations and experienced Wingmen across all ranks, creating a healthier, more resilient Air Force

Airmen utilize commercial software simulations to enhance intelligence analysts’ training opportunities

The commercial software, which Kevin has nicknamed Sentinel Sim, is a first-person military video game that simulates full-spectrum tactical military operations. It comes preloaded with scenario editors which allow users to add their own ground forces and military equipment, to include ISR assets.

ACC commander, civic leaders visit JBSA

Gen. Mike Holmes, commander Air Combat Command, and several civic leaders from across the command, visited the 24th and 25th Air Force at Joint Base San Antonio-Lackland, Texas, May 31, 2018. The visit was hosted to introduce attendees to 24th AF's cyberspace mission and 25th AF's intelligence, surveillance and reconnaissance mission.

ACC commander visits Goodfellow

Gen. Mike Holmes, Commander of Air Combat Command, visited the 17th Training Wing to learn more about the training mission, May 30. As the ACC commander, Holmes is responsible for the Air Force core function of Global Integrated Intelligence, Surveillance and Reconnaissance. Many of the Airmen that graduate training at Goodfellow go on to work at ACC units aligned with that function.
