The Air Combat Command Community Action Team recently released their 2022 charter, which establishes CAT requirements, procedures and deliverables for the command.

The CAT is the action arm of the Community Action Board. It is comprised of key agency leaders who facilitate improvements in resilience, readiness, well-being, communication, and quality of life for total force personnel and their family members.

The team focuses on removing obstacles that may prevent or delay access to helping agency resources, especially for members who are at greater risk for interpersonal and self-directed violence.

“The ACC CAT Charter provides the purpose, guidance, and leadership direction necessary to operate a fully successful Community Action Team,” said Jack D. Sweet, ACC community programs specialist. “The charter is distributed to all ACC installations where it can be fine-tuned to fit their respective needs.”

Feedback from a variety of events, surveys, and agencies across the command is leveraged by the CAT to form recommendations to the CAB for action. Those actions include improvements to programs, policies, and processes affecting the well-being of ACC members and families.

“CABs and CATs at all levels serve as dedicated and integrated forums that inform leadership of these concerns and identify solutions,” said Lt. Gen. Russ Mack, Air Combat Command deputy commander. “ACC is committed to maximizing mission readiness through multi-agency collaboration and integration of programs and activities that address individual, family, and community concerns.”
